Urban Wildlife 1

The beauty of the Fox, which runs and moves just like a Black Backed Jackal, tiptoes, silent, watchful, took my breath away in the stifling concrete suburbs of Bristol, in the UK. This place with its pulse of slavery and excess of early onset capital gluttony also breathes art, vigour, creativity, activism, community. It is the place where they pushed the monument to slave trader Edward Colson down, into the holy Avon River. I see the grace of the fox, pigeon, sparrow, corvid and ant. The mighty will it takes for a creature of Life to survive in cemented modernity. I love these creatures, and am so grateful for the pulse they bring to our world, for the messages they relay to the greater Living System. May they thrive. May we make space for all Life to thrive.
